Gayleann (sorry for mispelling) was the icing on the cake for our stay. A lovely historic bed & breakfast in Downtown Gettysburg. Gayleann was patient, kind, funny, & made us feel so comfortable & relaxed.

Booked a room with a fridge. The amazingly nice and very welcoming staff provided all the necessary info. Central location was a plus. I was surprised at nearby Eighty Two, they had some goodies, drinks.

There was breakfast to be added.

Let me tell you about the time we stayed. We chatted with Bob, the innkeeper, who spun tales about the house's history that had me hooked. The Elizabeth Thorn room? Just gorgeous. It faced the main street but with good soundproofing, we barely noticed a thing at night. And breakfast? Oh man, Gail's pancakes were something else, fresh and fluffy, so good it was like waking up in my own kitchen.

Not the cheapest place, but worth every penny.

The breakfast was fab, homemade goodness that tied the whole stay together! Plus, the location's a goldmine. You're just a hop to eateries like Dobbin House Tavern and Mr G's Ice Cream. We even chatted up with Mark, who gave us the lowdown on the house and its history, sweetening the experience.

But here's the scoop, my room was misrepresented as a Superior Double Room, yet I barely had space for a chair! Plus, I spotted a filthy glass upon arrival and some lazy cleaning left the space looking less than fresh. Talk about a bummer on an otherwise charming hotel!

I had to bring my own soap. But overall, it was nice.
